Gold Pinch Ring

This sculptural chunky gold statement ring with "pinch" detail at the top is first created in wax, then cast in recycled 14k yellow gold using the lost wax method. This ring has lovely markings that were created in the wax giving it one of a kind texture and the essence of buried treasure. My process is methodical and meditative, allowing me to turn inward and connect with a thought or feeling which then manifests as a piece of jewelry. When creating this ring, I wanted to evoke a sense of magic and fairytale, like uncovering golden treasure half buried in the sand. As with all my jewelry, this ring can hold different and unique meaning depending on what the wearer is experiencing in her own life. What does it mean for you?
